Osteoarthritis

Osteoarthritis affects millions of people worldwide and is most common in older people. It is caused by the wearing down of protective cartilage at the ends of the bones. It has the potential to affect any joint, including the hands, knees, and spine. Osteoarthritis often causes pain, loss of flexibility, and sometimes, even loss of mobility.

In Peru, a woman with osteoporosis receives a new wheelchair.

Osteoarthritis affects Sabrina, a 65-year-old living in Peru. Sabrina lives with her daughter and three granddaughters in a modest home.

However, due to the severity of Sabrina's osteoarthritis, she could not walk and had to crawl to where she needs to go.

But there is good news for Sabrina!
