No Sharing of Personal Information
Free Wheelchair Mission will not sell, rent, or lease your personal information to other organizations or companies. We assure you that the identity of all our donors will be kept confidential. Use of donor information will be limited to the internal purposes of Free Wheelchair Mission and only to further the ministry activities and purposes of Free Wheelchair Mission.
Practices Regarding Cookies
Free Wheelchair Mission uses its own cookies for a number of purposes, including to:
- Access your information when you "sign in" so we can provide you with customized content or access information unique to you and your family.
- Provide general internal and customer analytics. We use this information to improve the Free Wheelchair Mission website, and we do not share or sell this data.
- To support security measures such as requiring re-logging into the Free Wheelchair Mission website after a certain amount of time has elapsed.
- To assist in identifying possible fraudulent activities.
Collection of Information
Free Wheelchair Mission does not collect personal information without your knowledge during your visit to our website. However, Free Wheelchair Mission does at times ask you to provide us with personal information while online. The type of information we collect typically, but not always, corresponds directly with the service you request.
Here are examples of the types of information that we may collect and maintain:
- Name, complete address, phone number, email address
- Payment information and/or billing information
- Shipping information: name and complete address
- Information you wish to share: questions, comments, suggestions
Third-Party Collection and Opt-Out:
Data collected on this site and by other means may be used by third parties (such as NextRoll and AdRoll) to target advertising on other sites based on our users' online activity. We recognize how important your online privacy is to you, so we offer the following options for controlling the interest-based ads you receive and how we use your data. Opting-out of this type of advertising will not prevent you from seeing ads, rather those ads will likely be less relevant. This is because they will not be tailored to your specific interests but will instead be based on the context of the Digital Property in which they are displayed (for example, if you are on a movie website, you may only see ads about movies) or the ads you see may be randomly generated.
Here’s how you can control how we use your data:
Web browser: You can opt-out of receiving interest-based ads served by us or on our behalf by clicking on the blue icon that typically appears in the corner of some of the ads we serve and following the instructions provided or by clicking here. Please note that this “opt-out” function is browser-specific and relies on an “opt-out cookie”. This means if you delete your cookies or upgrade your browser after having opted out, you will need to opt-out again.
Cross-Device Opt-Out: In some cases, we may link multiple browsers or devices to you. If you opt-out on a browser or device and we have additional devices or browsers linked to you, we will extend your opt-out decision to any other linked browsers and devices. Since we only link users across browsers and devices in certain conditions, there may be cases where you are still being tracked in a different browser or device we have not linked, and where we are treating you as a different user.
Mobile Device Opt-Out: To opt-out of receiving interest-based ads that are based on your behavior across different mobile applications, please follow instructions for iOS and Android devices:
- iOS 7 or Higher: Go to your Settings > Select Privacy > Select Advertising > Enable the “Limit Ad Tracking” setting; and
- For Android devices with OS 2.2 or higher and Google Play Services version 4.0 or higher: Open your Google Settings app > Select Ads > Enable “Opt-out of interest-based advertising.”
How Information is Used
Free Wheelchair Mission uses your information to understand your needs and provide you with better service. Specifically, we use your information to help you complete a transaction, communicate back to you, and update you on ministry happenings. Credit card numbers are used only for donation or payment processing and are not retained for other purposes. We use the comments you offer to provide you with information requested, and we take seriously each recommendation as to how we might improve communication.
When you request a resource, we require that you provide us with certain information that allows us to complete your transaction. This information is used to create a unique account within the Free Wheelchair Mission website.
Our website's e-commerce system uses SSL encryption to protect sensitive data transmissions from your computer to our website. You are able to see when the SSL encryption is active wherever you see the padlock icon with the text “SECURE FORM.” In certain areas, password protection is used to protect your privacy and security. We take appropriate security measures to protect against unauthorized access to or unauthorized alteration, disclosure or destruction of your personal information. We restrict access to your personally identifying information to Free Wheelchair Mission employees and/or agents of the organization who need to know that information in order to operate, develop or improve our services.
Links to Other Sites
We sometimes provide referrals to and links to other websites from our site. Such a link should not be seen as an endorsement, approval or agreement with any information or resources offered at sites you can access through our site. If in doubt, always check the Uniform Resource Locator (URL) address provided in your web browser to see if you are still in the Free Wheelchair Mission website or have moved to another site. Free Wheelchair Mission is not responsible for the content or practices of third party sites that may be linked to our site. When Free Wheelchair Mission provides links or references to other websites, no inference or assumption should be made and no representation should be inferred that Free Wheelchair Mission is connected with, operates or controls these Websites.
