This hospital in Vietnam uses medical supplies donated by Free Wheelchair Mission.

Children and adults with disabilities are often the hardest hit when natural disasters strike, especially during a worldwide pandemic. While these disasters are devastating here in the U.S., they are unimaginable when they impact those without mobility living in developing countries.

They lack the mobility to move away from danger or to seek out medical care and often have underlying health conditions that place them at great risk.

Family members, care providers, doctors, nurses and other healthcare workers in these areas urgently need essential medical supplies and mobility aids to care for these children and adults with disabilities. At times like these, they often spend many hours, urgently working to save lives.

“Most of the medical supplies that came in the last container are being used during this COVID-19 emergency to protect the healthcare workers. We are very thankful to you!” – FUSAL, a distribution partner in El Salvador

Your gift will support these healthcare workers by giving them essential medical supplies to care for children and adults with disabilities.

This includes items like masks, gloves, needles, syringes, and blankets. Your donation will also provide mobility-assistance devices, such as wheelchairs, walkers, and canes. Medical supplies and mobility aids are provided through our “Mobility Beyond Wheelchairs” program and are delivered through our extensive network of trusted partners working in the communities we serve.

Your gift of $50, $100, $200 or more, or an ongoing gift of $50 or more per month, will help ensure that these resources are available when they are most needed. Monthly giving is the best way to help. This lowers our costs and puts more of your money to work in communities we serve so that these items are there when they need them.
