Google Gives Back

A team of 14 volunteers from Google offices in Irvine, California, assembled 20 wheelchairs on June 26th as part of GoogleServe, an annual service event in which Google staff members give back to the community.

Ambassadors Lifting Lives

Ambassadors across the country continue to raise awareness of the worldwide need for wheelchairs, hosting or organizing events at places such as River Roast, a popular establishment in Chicago, and a home on the shores of Lake Forest, California. Nearly 200 people will receive the gift of a wheelchair, thanks to these two events alone!

Free Wheelchair Mission appeared in the pages of HomeFront Magazine, USA Today, Delta Sky, and Modern Luxury Orange County. On June 21st, NPR Los Angeles aired a radio interview with Don Schoendorfer, while the documentary, Because No One Should Have to Crawl, began airing on PBS stations in selected cities.
