On Saturday, May 6th, a team of ambassadors in Chicago held the Magic of Mobility, an exhilarating evening of live music, dancing, uplifting stories, delicious food, and a thrilling auction for mobility.
Thanks to their hard work and the generosity of the people of Chicago, 1,700 people will receive the gift of a wheelchair.
That same day, the Run for Mobility began at the OC Marathon in Orange County, California, with a 5K run on Saturday evening and the half marathon and marathon on Sunday morning.
Sixty-nine members of Team Mobility ran for those who can’t, braving strong winds, rain, and even hail, which we don’t see very often in southern California. Despite the unusual weather, everyone had a great time in a fun, festive environment, raising funds for almost 900 wheelchairs. These two events resulted in nearly 2,600 lives being impacted by the gift of a wheelchair. This is the power of a community unleashed, united in heart and working together for good.
