Donor Testimonials

“I saw how wheelchair recipients found light, freedom, and joy, to know that as human beings, they matter and are loved.”

~ Kathy from California

“To the able-bodied observer, my wheelchair may represent adversity, their eyes perceiving only loss. but my wheelchair does not imprison me; it empowers me. For this reason, I choose to support Free Wheelchair Mission and their work to give the gift of mobility to those in need. Everyone deserves to enjoy such freedom.”

~ Ashley from Indiana

The Convene Conference was a great success last weekend. What an amazing turnout with 340 members in attendance! We met many new faces and ran into a few faithful supporters, too. It's such a joy to share our mission with a fresh audience. At night, we even got to hear from astronaut Jose M. Hernandez. He starred in last year's movie, “A Million Miles Away.”Thanks Angela Gomez and Georgia Kloos for representing us there!#ConveneConference #NonProfitEvent ... See MoreSee Less

Azam is 14 years old and lives in India with his mom, dad, brother, and sister. He was diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy as a child, meaning, Azam's muscles weaken and deteriorate over time, significantly impacting his mobility. His mother and grandmother used to carry him to the hospital for his daily essentials, but when their health started to decline, they had a difficult time providing him with regular trips. Before his new wheelchair, Azam had to crawl or be carried to where he wanted to go, often being confined to indoors. Now, he can move around freely in their house, thanks to the help of his first ever mobility aid! Our wheelchair helps Azam get to the hospital when he needs. He feels the excitement of a new found independence and the hope of a better opportunity for his future.Their family had a message to those who helped provide this wheelchair:"From our family, we sincerely give thanks to those who transformed our son's situation."#WheelchairRecipient #FirstWheelchair #NewWheelchair #GiftofMobility ...
