Don is a biomedical engineer who was an inventor on more than 50 patents.

Over 20 years ago, he turned his talents toward solving the problem of immobility in developing countries, building 100 prototype wheelchairs in his garage.

He took four of them on a mission trip to India in 2001, and Free Wheelchair Mission was born.
