Team Mobility Newsletter
May 6, 2026
You're moving, you're fundraising, and people are starting to take notice. Now it's time to keep that momentum going — and one of the best ways to do that is to bring people along for the ride.
Here is this week's newsletter, with tips to help you reach your goal. If you missed the last one, you can catch up here:
Fundraising Tip: Show Your Journey
People give to people. And when your friends and family see you showing up—putting in the miles, staying committed—it often inspires them to come alongside you.
You don't need professional gear or a full production setup. Your phone is more than enough to tell the story.
A few simple ways to share your journey:
- Take a "starting line" photo—where each walk, run, or ride begins
- Share a real moment—a mid-workout selfie, effort and all
- Record a short video—just 15–30 seconds on why this matters to you
- Mark a milestone—your first mile, halfway point, or a personal best
Day 5 of my Move for Mobility training! Every mile brings someone closer to receiving a wheelchair—and renewed independence. If you'd like to be part of that, you can support here: [your page link]
A few quick tips to help your posts stand out:
- Natural light makes a difference—outdoors or near a window works best
- The rear camera usually gives you a sharper image
- Changing your angle—even slightly—can add energy and movement
- Keep the background simple so the focus stays on your story
Training Tip: Consistency Over Intensity
It can be tempting to go all out at the start—but steady, consistent effort will carry you further than a single tough workout followed by days of recovery.
Aim for a moderate pace three to five times a week. Over time, those miles add up in a meaningful way.
If you're feeling strong, consider adding a little more distance or a few extra minutes. If your schedule gets tight, a shorter session still counts. Progress isn't built on perfect days—it's built on showing up, again and again.
Think of your training as something you're building, not proving. You don't have to do everything at once. You just have to keep going.
And remember, every step, ride, or run is connected to something bigger. As you stay consistent, you're not only growing your own endurance—you're helping create opportunities for someone else to experience mobility and independence.
