Team Mobility Newsletter
April 29, 2026
Thank you for signing up to Move for Mobility! May 1 is just two days away—are you ready to get moving?
Here is this week's newsletter, with tips to help you reach your goal. If you missed the last one, you can catch up here:
Start With Your Inner Circle
Once your fundraising page is live, it's time to start asking people to support you.
Start with the 5–10 people closest to you—family, friends, life groups, coworkers. Reach out directly with a short, personal message like this:
Hi [Name], this May, I'm doing [activity] as part of Move for Mobility to raise funds and provide new wheelchairs to people in need around the world. It would mean a lot if you'd consider donating any amount. Here's my page: [link]. Thank you!
To make your ask even more effective:
- Text or DM—messages are more likely to get seen
- Suggest a dollar amount—"even $25 makes a difference"
- Share your "why"—let them know what inspired you to get involved
- Follow up once if you don't hear back—people get busy, not uninterested
Most people want to support a good cause—especially if they're being asked by someone they trust.

Training Tip: Build a Habit, Not a Grind
Whether you're rolling, walking, running, cycling, or anything in between, the key to finishing strong is starting smart.
Here's a simple approach for your first couple of weeks:
- Set a realistic weekly goal—something you can do even on a busy day
- Move at a conversational pace—if you can't talk while training, slow down
- Rest days matter—your body gets stronger when it recovers
- Track your progress—even a simple note on your phone builds momentum
Every push, step, pedal, and lap you take helps make mobility more accessible for someone who needs it. Your effort plays a part in delivering wheelchairs that can open up new possibilities for independence, work, and connection.
When you're done with your Move for Mobility, don't forget to upload your results here.
Your results will then be posted on our celebration board, and you'll be mailed your special edition 25th Anniversary Pin!*
