How can a staff of 30 people distribute 1.2 million wheelchairs in 93 countries?
It wouldn’t be possible without our dedicated volunteers and ambassadors.
Ambassadors serve as Free Wheelchair Mission’s primary champions. They help raise awareness of the worldwide need for mobility—and the solutions we offer—by hosting events, engaging on social media, and raising funds in their communities, schools, churches, and workplaces throughout the country.
Volunteers play equally vital roles throughout this mission, helping with everything from preparing mailers to assembling wheelchairs. At our Irvine office alone, 197 volunteers served a total of 2,758 hours throughout last year!
“They’re always eager, servant-hearted, and determined to help Free Wheelchair Mission provide more wheelchairs to those in need,” raves Free Wheelchair Mission Volunteer Manager & Executive Administrator Mackenzie Cummins. “We’re blessed to have a community of volunteers who constantly show up and support our team in so many ways. We couldn’t do this important work without their dedicated support!”
To express our deep gratitude, Free Wheelchair Mission held a Volunteer and Ambassador Appreciation Celebration on September 5th.
