Thandisizwe, a bright and energetic 20-year-old, lives with his grandmother, siblings, and cousins in the small town of Kariega, South Africa. Despite losing his parents at a young age and living with epilepsy, Thandisizwe refuses to let life’s challenges define him.

For years, he relied on a wheelchair provided by a hospital. But as he grew, the chair no longer fit, forcing him to crawl just to get around. Without proper mobility, he couldn’t go to school, visit friends, or even move freely within his home.

Still, Thandisizwe remained independent—bathing himself, preparing food, and helping where he could. His grandmother, his primary caregiver, supported him with love and care, but together, they struggled to find a new wheelchair.

That all changed when he received a brand-new wheelchair through our local distribution partner, Network of Caring.

“I cannot express how happy I am,” he said. “Now I can go see my friends, go to school, and go to town with my grandmother.”

With a new wheelchair and a renewed sense of freedom, Thandisizwe is able to move toward an even brighter future. His joy is contagious, his hope inspiring, and his gratitude immense. “Thank you so much,” he grinned. “May God bless you!”
