Quynh is a 19-year-old who lives in Vietnam.
She has never been able to stand or walk because of a congenital condition. Her father cannot walk, either.
Without mobility, Quynh would often crawl on the ground to get from place to place. Her family tried their best to provide her with an education, but without a wheelchair, getting her to school was a daunting challenge.
But Quynh’s life changed when she received a new GEN_2 wheelchair from our local partner, Giving It Back To Kids (GIBTK).
With her new wheelchair, Quynh could move more easily on her own, both inside and outside of her home. She started taking lessons to become a make-up artist and manicurist, and now earns a living by working at a salon.
Because of the generosity of friends like you, Quynh can now live more independently. She is able to move around her house, go to work, and visit friends more easily on her own.
Her wheelchair provides more than just mobility. A wheelchair opens up new opportunities for education, employment, and community.
The gift of mobility offers renewed hope to individuals like Quynh, all over the world. If you haven't already, would you consider giving this gift to someone this holiday season?
