Our CEO Visits Invacare Europe

"The Story Behind Our Stories” Webinar
November 10
Pastor Moisés Aráuz (above; top right) of Metanoia Missions, our distribution partner in Nicaragua, joined us for our November webinar, "The Story Behind Our Stories."
Moisés offered an intriguing, behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to get wheelchairs to those who need them in remote areas--and what it takes to capture these stories to share with us all.
In case you missed it, you can watch a replay of the webinar here.
Recipient Story from Nicaragua
November 12
Miguel (22), and his sister, Maria (23), both live with disabilities.
For a family to have one child with a disability was seen by some in their community as a curse from God, so a family having two children with disabilities must be doubly cursed—which we know is not true, but is what some people believed.
Thus, Miguel would never leave the confines of their corrugated metal shack, kept hidden from sight due to the stigma surrounding disability.
But this isn't the end of his story. Read more of Miguel's story here.
