Distribution Partner Audit in Ukraine
November 4th–8th
An in-person audit was held for Mission Eurasia, our distribution partner in Ukraine. Topics covered include the assessment process for potential wheelchair recipients, wheelchair user training, wheelchair maintenance, and management of sub-distribution partners.

Surprise from Taylor Morrison
November 19th
Taylor Morrison employee, Zayda Yllescas (center) and longtime volunteer Lisa Donnelly (right) surprised Free Wheelchair Mission CEO Nuka Solomon (left) with a $1,000 check. This gift was awarded to Zayda’s charity of choice by the company, based on a contest she won by writing about her heart for this mission. Thank you, Zayda, Lisa, and Taylor Morrison!

Big Check from the ECCU
November 19th
That same day, the ECCU also stopped by with a surprise gift—a check that will provide brand-new wheelchairs to 15 people who are living with disabilities in developing nations. We’re grateful to the ECCU for the unexpected gift.

Visiting Manufacturers
November 22nd
FWM engineers Don Schoendorfer (bottom row, left), Bonnie Gonzalez (2nd from left), and Mats Feldt (right), along with Procurement Manager Eric Lai (not pictured), visited our manufacturers in China to review processes and brainstorm both product improvements and cost-reduction ideas for the future.

Christmas Fair at Mount of Olives
November 24th
Mount of Olives Lutheran Church in Mission Viejo, California invited Free Wheelchair Mission to participate in their Alternative Christmas Fair on November 24th, where a portion of all craft and baked goods sales was donated to Heifer International and Free Wheelchair Mission. Thank you, Mount of Olives Church, for blessing us this holiday season.
