Christmas is almost here! As we celebrate the birth of Christ, we do so as members of one body around the world. In Cape Town, South Africa, a young woman named Sinazo will go to church as she does every Sunday morning, with a smile on her face, eager to serve any way she can.

Sinazo was born with a disability 24 years ago and needs a wheelchair to move around. When her old wheelchair began to fall apart, simple daily activities such as going to the market became more of a challenge for Sinazo and her mother, who takes care of her full-time and is unable to work. They both survive on the financial assistance that Sinazo receives for her disability, and repairing her old wheelchair was just not feasible on such limited funds.

Their neighbor, Cynthia, heard about Free Wheelchair Mission and connected our local distribution partner to Sinazo and her mother. They fitted her with a GEN_3 wheelchair, and when she received it, Sinazo burst into radiant joy! The new wheelchair has been a huge blessing: within days of receiving it, Sinazo and her mother could resume their daily activities.

One of Sinazo’s favorite things to do in December is to go to the beach– it’s summer in South Africa– and now she can, thanks to the gift of mobility. How much more special will her Christmas be this year?

Thank you for your love, prayers, and generosity, which have given people like Sinazo a renewed hope and joy. Wishing you and your loved ones a very merry Christmas!

Blessings,
