Release New Training Materials

Our medical programs team launched new training materials, including updated workbooks and wheelchair manuals, to help ensure the best fit possible for all of our wheelchair recipients.

Celebrate Our Volunteers and Ambassadors

Celebrate Abilities in Boston

The Abilities Expo, which brings together life-enriching products and services for the disability community, was held at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center.

Hear From Our Partner in Uganda
September 18th
Francis Mugwanya (right, with Don Schoendorfer), founder of our Ugandan distribution partner, Father’s Heart Mobility Ministry, spent an afternoon with a group of FWM ambassadors, sharing his on-the-field perspective of wheelchair distribution and signing copies of the book, “A Wheelchair for Francis.”

Network in Los Angeles
September 19th
Francis Mugwanya (2nd from left) and Free Wheelchair Mission CEO, Nuka Solomon, held an intimate networking and informational gathering called “Sip & Learn” at the Little Ethiopia Cultural and Events Center in Los Angeles. Six people with disabilities in developing nations will now receive the gift of a wheelchair, thanks to the generosity of the evening’s guests.

Worship at Fish Family Night

Free Wheelchair Mission was part of Fish Family Night, a concert in Irvine, California featuring Casting Crowns, Kari Jobe, Tauren Wells, Cody Carnes, and Jamie Kimmett.

Celebrate the Miracle of Mobility in Prescott, Arizona
September 23rd
Francis and Don shared their stories at the Prescott Miracle of Mobility, which was held by our ambassadors in Arizona. Thanks to their efforts, this event raised funds to provide wheelchairs for 873 people living with disabilities in developing nations.

Cast Vision in Ecuador
September 28th—October 5th
A team from Right at Home offices in Nebraska, Rhode Island, Florida, New York, New Jersey, and Ontario, Canada embarked on a vision trip to Ecuador, where they assembled and fitted wheelchairs to individuals in need of them.
