March 2021
Two containers of wheelchairs arrived in the Dominican Republic and China during the month of March, with more shipments en route to Jamaica, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Brazil, Argentina, and Pakistan.
Assembly and Fit Practice in India

The Christian Missions Charitable Trust, one of our distribution partners in India, received remote coaching on wheelchair assembly and fit. Because correct assembly and a proper fit are crucial to the safety of our wheelchair recipients, our programs team offers ongoing coaching and support to our distribution partners.

Mario (66) has long been familiar with the impact that disabilities can have.
After serving faithfully as the pastor of a small church in Nicaragua for over 40 years, he was forced to retire when complications from diabetes led to infections and the amputation of both legs. He has also been losing his eyesight. He is also the father of five daughters, all of whom were born with disabilities.

Remote Training in India
March 8-9, 2021
Free Wheelchair Mission training was offered remotely to World Vision India, another one of our distribution partners serving the people of India.
This training includes an overview of Free Wheelchair Mission, how to assess potential wheelchair recipients, how to take measurements and make recommendations, wheelchair assembly and adjustments, and wheelchair user training.
Training in Brazil

Wheelchair training was also offered in Brazil, but this time, it was held by our distribution partners CEPD and Rotary Brazil for their staff members and sub-distribution partners, with support from our programs team.
