Thanks to your generosity, 4 containers of wheelchairs arrived in Chile, Kenya, and Pakistan, with more en route to Ecuador, Ghana, Jordan, and Vietnam.

Shipment Arrives in Chile…

August 10

A container of wheelchairs was received by Help for the Andes, our distribution partner in Chile. Wheelchairs are shipped in boxed kits, then later assembled by partners who have been trained by Free Wheelchair Mission.

August 12

The Walkabout Foundation, one of our local distribution partners, received a container of wheelchairs and unloaded them at their wheelchair center in Nanyuki, Kenya.

Distributing Wheelchairs in Haiti

August 19

Just five days after the 7.2 earthquake that struck Haiti, our distribution partners The Walkabout Foundation Haiti and Hope Health Action proceeded to deliver wheelchairs to a home for adults who live with disabilities and have been abandoned. “This generous gift [is] very precious to them,” relayed the team of doctors and nurses that fitted them with the wheelchairs.

Mount Borah Climb for Mobility

August 28

A team from Eagle United Methodist Church hiked to the top of Mt. Borah, the highest peak in Idaho, in support of Free Wheelchair Mission.

Thanks to their efforts, 100 lives will soon be transformed by the gift of mobility!

Distribution in a Remote Village

August 31

​​​​​​Faith in Practice, a distribution partner in Guatemala, provided wheelchairs and other assistive devices in Santa Rosa, a remote village near the border with El Salvador. They send their greetings and appreciation!
