New Partner Training

Children International, our new distribution partner in the Philippines, remotely received wheelchair training that covered the assessment of potential wheelchair recipients, wheelchair assembly and adjustments, and wheelchair user training. We’re excited about this new partnership!
Fitness + Cause = 202 Wheelchairs
August 21
Free Wheelchair Mission Ambassador Ted Cheng took part in Stark Naked, a rigorous 18-week training and nutrition program to get fit while raising money and awareness for a cause. Ted, who turned 60 this year, chose to support Free Wheelchair Mission and successfully raised funds for 202 wheelchairs. Congratulations, Ted! Hear more of his story in this video.
Container Arrives in El Salvador
August 21
A container of 520 wheelchairs arrived in El Salvador, where they will be stored, assembled, and fitted to individual recipients by our distribution partner, FUSAL. Since 2007, FUSAL has received and distributed more than 10,000 of our wheelchairs in El Salvador.
Providing Wheelchairs in Colombia
August 26
Through our distribution partner, Food for the Poor Colombia (Order of Malta) and sub-distribution partner, SportPower2, wheelchairs were distributed to individuals in need of them in Ciénaga, Caparrapí, and Lebrija, Colombia.
Wheelchair Arrivals
Because of your generosity, five containers of wheelchairs arrived in El Salvador, Costa Rica, Colombia, and Vietnam. More containers are currently en route to Chile, Honduras, Guatemala, and the Dominican Republic.
