Because of you, six containers of wheelchairs arrived in China, Dominican Republic, Haiti, India, Nicaragua, and Pakistan, with more en route to Brazil, Nicaragua, and Vietnam.
Our Founder and President, Don Schoendorfer, was interviewed by Good Life Television in an episode that will soon air on Santa Barbara public access television.

Students Lifting Lives
Students from Our Lady Queen of Angels, a school for Transitional Kindergarten through 8th grade, set out with the goal of raising enough funds to provide wheelchairs for 100 people living with disabilities in developing countries—but thanks to their dedication, they blew past this goal and raised enough for 344 new wheelchairs! Thank you, Our Lady Queen of Angels School!
Other schools that began fundraising for wheelchairs last month include Aliso Viejo Christian School, Mission Viejo Christian School, Zion Lutheran Christian School, and Bethany Lutheran School.
Wheelchair Distributions in Iraq
CAPNI, our distribution partner in Iraq, received a container of wheelchairs and began initial distributions. Above, a staff member of a sub-distribution partner of CAPNI takes measurements to fit a young woman with a new wheelchair.
Coaching in the Dominican Republic
Fundacion Hospital El Buen Samaritano, a distribution partner of ours in the Dominican Republic, facilitated online coaching for 21 of their sub-distribution partners. Our distribution network includes sub-distribution partners that help to extend our reach further into the communities that we serve.
Pray for Ukraine
Over the years, Free Wheelchair Mission has distributed nearly 16,000 wheelchairs in Ukraine through organizations including Mission Eurasia, which was still giving away wheelchairs from our last shipment to them but has had to pause due to the situation there.
And although we do not currently distribute wheelchairs in Ukraine, we have not forgotten friends like Mykola (above), a 51-year-old man who received one of our wheelchairs several years ago.
Read more of Mykola’s story on our blog and please keep in prayer all whom we have served in Ukraine, including our former distribution partners.
