Students Lifting Lives

February 2022

Students from Our Lady Queen of Angels, a school for Transitional Kindergarten through 8th grade, set out with the goal of raising enough funds to provide wheelchairs for 100 people living with disabilities in developing countries—but thanks to their dedication, they blew past this goal and raised enough for 344 new wheelchairs! Thank you, Our Lady Queen of Angels School!

Other schools that began fundraising for wheelchairs last month include Aliso Viejo Christian School, Mission Viejo Christian School, Zion Lutheran Christian School, and Bethany Lutheran School.

Visit this page for ways your church or school can get involved, or download our free VBS curriculum here.

Pray for Ukraine

February 25

Over the years, Free Wheelchair Mission has distributed nearly 16,000 wheelchairs in Ukraine through organizations including Mission Eurasia, which was still giving away wheelchairs from our last shipment to them but has had to pause due to the situation there.

And although we do not currently distribute wheelchairs in Ukraine, we have not forgotten friends like Mykola (above), a 51-year-old man who received one of our wheelchairs several years ago.

Read more of Mykola’s story on our blog and please keep in prayer all whom we have served in Ukraine, including our former distribution partners.
