This year, we have so much to be thankful for at Free Wheelchair Mission, especially in light of the challenges we have all faced during this pandemic.

With your prayers and support, we have been able to continue serving individuals in need of mobility in developing countries.

One of them is Juliana, a 43-year-old in Brazil who was born with health complications and cannot see, hear, or walk.

When Juliana received a new wheelchair from our distribution partner, the Rotary Club of Maringa, she wrote this thank-you note in braille:

“Thank you for the gift you gave to me. Now, I can go out to church, the library, the supermarket, and my aunt’s house to play bingo. I am very happy with the new wheelchair. Tell the Americans I love them. May God give you a lot of happiness and peace, and take care of you all.”

Because of friends like you, Juliana has so much to give thanks for this year.

GivingTuesday is coming up on December 1. GivingTuesday is a day where people around the world give generously to charities like Free Wheelchair Mission.

Black Friday might be for shopping, but GivingTuesday is for giving back.

We invite you to support us on GivingTuesday by providing the gift of mobility to many more like Juliana:

  • Instead of socks or neckties, give the gift of a new wheelchair to someone in need using our Free Wheelchair Mission Christmas or Holiday Cards. Each purchase includes a beautiful greeting card you can give someone as a meaningful gift this season. They can then use the code provided in the card to provide a wheelchair to someone in need. Order your cards here.
  • Or, make a donation in lieu of, or in addition to, giving Christmas and Holiday cards. Donate now here.

Both options will provide the gift of mobility to someone with a disability in a developing country, giving them renewed hope, freedom, and independence. For more information, visit this page.

Thank you for your continued prayers and support. We are grateful to you.
