I just returned from Peru a few days ago. It was a wonderful ending to a fantastic trip. I have so much more to tell you.
While we do share many of our stories here on our blog, we post others on our social media sites. Platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram allow us to frequently share quick updates– often, in real-time, as we did during our trip to Peru.
Social media helps our partners and supporters stay connected, wherever they may be in the world. If you haven’t been following us already, you might have missed these highlights from the month of April:
- 4,220 wheelchairs arrived at their destination countries.
- Radio stations in Houston and Los Angeles aired interviews with FWM.
- Right at Home, an in-home caregiving provider, raised enough funds during a three-day meeting to distribute at least 1,250 wheelchairs.
- A church-wide campaign at Mariners provided wheelchairs for nearly 400 people.
- Ambassadors around the nation continued to do wonderful work, spreading the word and rallying others to give the gift of mobility.
- A team went to Peru for a special wheelchair distribution, which we’ll share more about at the upcoming Miracle of Mobility on July 13th.
These are just a few of the highlights. Not listed or shown are thousands of unsung heroes around the world, praying, giving, and volunteering to serve those who need the gift of mobility.
You are one of these heroes. What you do might not always be seen by others, but please know that your impact is felt.
Blessings,
Don Schoendorfer
