Before receiving their wheelchairs through our partners in the Philippines, Operation Blessing and Rotary Club, the de la Cruz brothers were unable to enjoy the things they loved the most, like going to the beach to wait for the sun to set or watching a basketball game at the plaza. Born with muscular dystrophy, the boys had learned to get around on small carts called karitos, but their lives were limited.
