Greetings and Happy Friday!

July 1, 2005

Here are some highlights of the past week:

  • People from all around the world are sending messages and praying for success of our July 26 event. Here is a message from Princess Evelyn Komuntale of Uganda:
"The disabled in Uganda are crying out for more wheelchairs. I am praying for your success on July 26. May the Lord open hearts to hear our need. Each wheelchair makes a difference of a lifetime. The need is so vast and we need so many more."
  • Containers of 550 wheelchairs left for Mexico and Tanzania,

We are proud of our partnership with World Vision.Nalinakshy in her wheelchair
They are working with us to distribute wheelchairs
to the Tsunami victims of south India.
Here is a story from Steve Sterling of World Vision:

"Nalinakshy is 65 years old. She lost four of her dear ones on 26th Dec. ’04. When the Tsunami hit her hut, she was resting there after just having major knee surgery. Her weak leg again broke as she tried in vain to escape from the roaring waves. The dreadful waves took away her daughter and three grandchildren. Her life reached a stand still on that very day and since then, life for her was merely lying on the bed. But with the Free Wheelchair Mission wheelchair from World Vision, things changed over night. She is now free to move about and meet her needs without any one’s help. Her on tells us “My mother’s face now shines with joy as she now moves freely.”
