    Friday Story

This story comes from Mangalam Daily Today - a newspaper in South India.
Our friend Scaria translated it into English for us.  The title of the article is
"Marxist Communist Revolutionary Kellapan Now Turned an Ardent Believer"

At Little Flower Mercy Home for the destitute, Kerala, South India, Mr. Kellapan moves around in the path of service to the Lord in his wheelchair received from the Free Wheelchair Mission.

His half a century of thinking that the belief in Christ is the main enemy of Marxist revolution is gone now.  Mr. Kepplan, who used to give hour long revolutionary speeches, now spreads the message of God through gospel. This great change happened to a person who had defied the guns and sticks of Police for long 60 years.

link to websiteThe amputated limbs, disfigured fingers of hands, big scar on the face are all testimony of his life as a revolutionary. He lost his fingers while making bomb. Later his limbs were imputed due to cancer.

During his struggle, he led many attacks against his political opponents and police stations. He was jailed for many years.

His life became miserable day by day. His wife died of disease.  His only landholding was lost in litigation.  Now he stays with other inmates of Little Flower Mercy Home.

He regrets his deeds in his earlier life and longs to correct his mistakes through service. He testifies that he keeps happy by living in faith and keeping in constant touch with our Lord Jesus Christ through prayers.  Thanks to The Free Wheelchair Mission - this once dangerous Marxist Revolutionary moves around in the service of Our Lord.
