Greetings and Happy Friday!March 18, 2005 |
Some highlights this week:
This story comes from our friends in Santiago, Chile: My name is Isolina, and I work for FEDES Foundation. It is incredible
for me to know the amount of people that need a wheelchair. To see the
emotion and tears of the people when they receive your wheelchair after
some have been waiting for years is spiritually enriching. Some have
waited in never ending lines, getting so much government paper work that
never
ends, knocking on many doors and never having someone listen to them.
Families give up after such negligence of the public services. They stop
searching.
We find many disabled are abandoned, sick, and they feel that they are
in everyone's way. |
