Matchmaker, Matchmaker

We arrived at a home to deliver a wheelchair to Jorge. Jorge is 82 years old and had been confined to his bed for two years after losing his foot in a copper mining accident. He immediately wanted to get into the wheelchair, the freedom it offered was not lost on him, so we helped him in and rolled him outside. The arrival of a van of Americans caused quite a stir in the neighborhoods and several people had gathered outside. One was a woman, Anna Maria, who is 86.

Anna Maria received a FWM wheelchair several months ago and lives across the street. As the two wheelchair recipients greeted each other for the first time in years, the neighbors began to joke that they would make a good couple! The two smiled and blushed at their new found freedom and opportunities!
