Early "Ambassadors for Mobility"
Here are some of the people who used their own initiative in creating unique ways to raise funds for the "poorest of the poor" who are in need of wheelchairs.
In July, the Rev. Glen Warner expressed a hope to "mobilize the community," in a common goal - to raise enough money to send 5,500 free wheelchairs through the Free Wheelchair Mission to Third World countries. read article

James & Maria Graham decided not to sign up for a traditional registry but wanted to
include the Free Wheelchair Mission on theirwishlist. Friends were invited to make a contribution to the mission instead of gifting the couple with traditional gifts.

I am writing as a proud mother of a soon to be 8 year old, who along with his best friend decided they didn't need birthday presents this year. Instead at their birthday party today they asked their friends for a small donation to the "wheelchair fund", as Christian calls it....this party raised over $600...thank you for inspiring my son to know he can make a difference. - Adriana Glosser, AZ.
