Free Wheelchair Mission (FWM) is a faith-based, non-profit organization based in Irvine, California.  Our mission is to “Transform lives through the gift of mobility to the physically disabled poor in developing countries as motivated by Jesus Christ”. Our vision is to “To creatively partner with like-minded international humanitarian and indigenous organizations to place 20 million wheelchairs”. Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Overall leadership of staff in the development and implementation of short and long-range plans and administration of the organization.
• Financial management of the organization, including the development and implementation of the annual budget.
• Provide information and counsel to the President and Board of Directors in the creation of policies, programs, and strategic direction of the organization.
• Supervision of all assigned staff – including appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; growing individual potentials, addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Experience Required:

• At minimum of 8 years in non-profit field or faith-based management.
• Superior written, oral, interpersonal and email communication skills.
• Demonstrated success in managing employees, building teams, and developing individuals.

• Experience acquiring strategic plans and functioning under them.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in self-learning, with graduate degrees preferred.
• Proven successful performance in donor cultivation and fundraising.

Knowledge and Critical Skills:

Technical:

• Intermediate computer skills.
• Create forecasts, budgets, and track financial progress and communicate financial information.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral form; and, effectively present information.

Performance:

• Proven experience to justify ability to double in size to $16 million dollar-level in three years.
• Detail-oriented and excellent listener
• Excellence in building a team and maintaining positive employee morale
• Strategic in discovering new opportunities for mission
• Highly productive ethical worker who motivates others by example.
