Our Kick-Off Dinner was an absolutely HUGE SUCCESS and we thank everyone who participated!

Chairman John Sexton shared his connection with both Free Wheelchair Mission and athletics, highlighted fundraisers, introduced compelling stories and tied the theme together of running or walking for those who can't.

Don Schoendorfer used a slide presentation to help us visualize the growth of the mission which has distributed over 200,000 wheelchairs, and whose goal is 20 million.

Special guest Emmanuel Ofosu Yeboah told of his own life as a disabled boy in Ghana and his passion for helping his country's thousands of disabled people.

Special Guest Dr William Tan bought the audience to its feet with his compelling story of being stricken with polio as a child and how he "stood up" to his own limitations

John Sexton and Amy Tomchak both addressed how well the Pacific Shoreline Marathon and Free Wheelchair Mission Partnership is working. All race events were sold out for the second year in a row!

The evening concluded with a raffle and then Jim Franklin worked the crowd and garnered several more containers in donations. The figures are still coming in so check back for updates.
